Ronaldo was born in the poor suburbs of the football Mecca Rio de Janeiro under the name Luis Nazario de Lima. Driven by his childhood hero Zico, the youngster enters football early in his life. By his 12th birthday he is playing in an organized youth club called Tennis Club Valqueire. With them, he played "futebol de salão" or small-sided football with a miniature ball. This is considered an important step in Ronaldo's development because playing with a smaller ball has been proven to rapidly increase foot skills. In the following few years, he takes part in various youth tournaments and begins attracting attention. Not much later, Cruzeiro di Belo Horizonte snatch up the youngster on a $50,000 transfer.
Young Luis Nazario gets his big break at the age of 17 when he is called up by Brazil's senior national team. He performs well and is selected for his country's World Cup squad. Because of his tender age, the young Fenomeno is kept as a substitute and watches the entire 1994 World Cup from the bench, as his team wins the gold.

Society “Prosvita”, social public organizations SC “Aktiv Faktor”, announce the international cartoon competition and ask professionals and amateurs all over the world to take part in the competition.

Prize fund of competition: First prize: 1000 USD, Second prize: 500 USD, Third prize: 300 USD.

 Terms of competition:
1. Theme of competition: “MEAL IS LIFE!”
Ukrainian meals, National meals, What do we eat, how and where?, Dishes and drinks, restaurants and cafes… many ideas to make funny pictures.
2.  Size of works: А4 (210 x 297). Number of works is unlimited.
3.  Works must be receiving before August, 25, 2006.
4.  Technique is free. Technique is free. Only original  cartoons are able to take part in the competition, or executed through the computer, with the “wet” signature of the author
5.  Please  indicate your  name, address   and phone number on the back side of each work of author. Competitors must send a short autobiography.
6.  The works sent to the  competition can be used for  promotion.
7.  The fact of participation in competition means the consent of author with foregoing terms. Organizers are not responsible for the damage of works during transportation.
8.  Awarding winners and opening of exhibition will take place in the middle of September, 2006 in “Victory” hotel, Ukraine, Melekino, Bezukhova Str., Belosarayskaya Kosa, Donetsk Reg. Organizers are responsible for  hospitality of winners.
